Today, Camden's Uncle Bob came over to shovel the driveway, and Camden wanted to go out and see him. I thought it would be a good time to have his first romp in the snow...unfortunalty he has no snow boots, only tennies. So, I thought I would try a trick that my Grandma would do to my shoes on rainy Sunday mornings to keep them dry on the way to church...
Clearly putting Ziploc baggies over his shoes removes any way for his shoes to get wet and snowy, but it also removes any and all tread to grip the slippery ground! So after falling several times on the cold ground, Uncle Bob came up with a better idea...
Uncle Bob wanted to use duck tape, I opted for the less sticky masking tape! Success! He was dry and warm, and he could even walk without slipping.
First taste of snow. Delicious!
He didn't really understnad he needed to stay out of the way, but he was enjoying himself reguardless!
Like always, he really liked running away!
Since we also have no sleds yet, Uncle Bob pulled him around on the shovel. It seemed to be just as fun for Camden!
Camden had a great time playing in the snow! Only face planted a couple of times, and didn't even mind the snow on his face. He likes picking up the snow and licking it too! It was an awesome time! Can't wait for the next snow adventure.
